While being sent dozens of suggested venues for my wedding, I was shown many churches with beautiful architecture and gothic arches galore. While I may not have fallen in love with the venues for my wedding, I did fall in love with that specific architectural feature. I was so drawn to the curved arches and the details of the stained glass windows and decided to try to mimic those beautiful structural details in a pattern. And so, these socks were born.

The lace mimics the arches as well as the little intricate details of the panels seen in a stained glass window.

These socks are knit toe up and include a short row heel. They feature a lace design and a picot edge. The pattern is written in the style of magic loop, but can be knitted using any method you wish. These are great for an adventurous or advanced beginner and beyond.

This pattern is written out two ways: a basic recipe with numbered repeats and a chart, or fully written out pattern instructions. I have included both and you can find the page numbers for each listed below so you can print only the version you prefer.

A note on yarn color choices: This pattern is best worked in a solid, semi-solid, tonal, or lightly speckled yarn. There is a lot going on in the pattern itself, that too much variation in the yarn can distract from the pattern.
