These socks can be knit toe up or cuff down. They are very simple and intuitive for a beyond vanilla style sock. They are for when you need a little something interesting, but nothing too complicated. The little bubble ridges the pattern creates reminded me of scales, so they just had to be mermaid socks.

These are an “Advanced Beginner” pattern, meaning you should have knit a pair of socks before in order to knit these. But they are very beginner friendly in terms of patterned socks.

There are 3 sizes available, small made for a 7” foot circumference(48 sts), medium 9” foot circumference (60 sts), and large 10.5” foot circumference (72 sts).

They are written based on knitting them magic loop style, but can very easily be knit with any preferred sock needles.
