Gradient yarns are entertaining to knit with, and a simple but effective way to incorporate color into a project. Worked together with a solid color yarn, it makes for a striking effect that belies its simplicity to knit. Combine this with a simple texture pattern and fun buttons for a lovely garment.

The Gradient Mesh Cowl is a rectangular cowl, worked flat from the short end. Two strands of yarn are held together at all times. The pattern includes two lengths: a short cowl and a long cowl for double wrapping.
