This takes the ever-popular Granny square to a new level with the decorative flat-braid joining technique, bead embellishments and decorative edging. There is plenty of scope to adapt the design using different motifs, buttons in place of beads, drawstring instead of pompom.

Worked in DK throughout, to achieve the 3-colour effect of the cosy illustrated, 100g of the main colour and 50g each of two contrasting colours, will be more than sufficient to complete the project. The design also lends itself to utilising stash yarn for a cost-effective result.
