The skirt is worked in separate layers of different sizes.
Each layer is made individually and then joined together in order; the difference in layer sizes creates the flared design.
Each layer is designed to increase in size from the top to the bottom to achieve a natural flare.
The waist ribbing is worked with sc in the BLO using double strand yarn.
After completing the waistband, cut one strand only and continue with a single strand for the skirt first layer.
This pattern is written for multiple sizes using color coded instructions to indicate stitch counts and adjustments.Black colour is used for all sizes while additional colored instructions represent size variations.
