Note:In Row One, you are working one single crochet in every chain, not every single crochet, as you don’t have any yet!

Imagine, if you will, the following: It is summer. It is hot. You wake up on a weekend morning wanting to run some leisurely outdoor errands, but it’s too hot and humid to do anything with your hair. Enter this granny stripe beret! Big enough to hold all of your hair, and with the right fiber content and drape to keep cool. It works up so fast, you could wake up with a bad hair day and have it finished before you need to go out.

Can be worked in any heavy worsted weight Noro for a spiraled effect, but would also be lovely in a solid!
