Ponchos are very practical and might be used either in cold weather (over some other jacket) and in middle seasons (over a sweater).

This is a large poncho and is made with 2 big granny squares, 2 big granny rectangles and 1 small granny triangle: there is a lot of granny crocheting but very little yarn waving in!

Tiles are joined as you work, so there is no sewing either!

You may choose any color changing yarn, or one or more than your favorite solid colours. You will be using a super fine yarn so that you end up with a wide and long poncho that is not too heavy or bulky.

The pattern also gives instructions (written and charts) on how to granny crochet squares, rectangles and triangles, and how to join tiles.

Note on gauge: a 5x5 granny square measures
8.5cmx8.5cm (3.3”x3.3”)
