This piece unites timeless style, elegance, and functionality. It has endured long mountain hikes with heavy packs as effortlessly as it has complemented city life, proving itself both durable and sophisticated.

Inspired by James Bond’s iconic ribbed navy sweater yet reimagined with a contemporary silhouette and refined details that evoke understated luxury. The fine rib structure, together with the elegant V-neckline, creates a balanced contrast between relaxed sportiness and tailored sophistication.

The result is a piece that radiates exclusivity with a confident, modern edge designed for those who value garments that are as enduring as they are effortlessly refined.

Difficulty: Advanced

Sizing: XS (S, M, L) XL

Positive ease is 4-6 cm or 1,6-2,4“, tight fit but ribbing makes it elastic.

Suggested Yarn

Approximately 750 (800, 850, 900) 950 g.

Superwash Extrafine 100% Lana Merino Wool 50 g = 175 m. The garment is knitted top down holding two strands together.

Gauge

Hold 2 strands, Stockinette Stitch 20 stitches times 35 rows on 4 mm/US 6 needles = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”, after Blocking.

Our intention is to give a reliable and repeatable starting point so for this pattern, we chose to calculate the gauge using Stockinette Stitch rather than the ribbing. Ribbing can be difficult to measure consistently because the result is dependent on how much the fabric is stretched or relaxed when the swatch is measured. We therefore found Stockinette Stitch to provide a more consistent reference point for achieving the intended measurements.

The Stockinette Stitch gauge is also directly relevant to the construction of the V-neck in this design.

Correct gauge is key for a good result.
