The Gujo hat is related to the rest of the Gujo patterns, all of which have the beautiful half fisherman’s rib stitches in common. When I knit half fisherman’s rib, I knit with the side out that many people refer to as the “wrong” side. The stitches are characterized by a softer curve and their “chubby” appearance – they are absolutely irresistible!

CONSTRUCTION
You start by working half fisherman’s rib in the round to make the folded edge of the hat, then the work is turned to make sure the correct side of the half fisherman’s rib is shown both in the fold-up and the top of the hat. Finally, decreases are made in a beautiful spiral.
