Who makes the flowers bloom again, in spite of a man? Who’s doing the best she can? Persephone, that’s who!

Grab your worsted weight yarn and your crochet hook, little songbirds, and make your own green thang. Wine not included.

This pattern is worked in pieces in the round, and then sewn together at the end.

I used Knit Picks Brava, as it’s a lovely soft acrylic that comes in vibrant colors. Most worsted weight would work fine. You could also use a different weight and adjust your hook sizes accordingly.

Adventurous beginner (You can do it! Trust me!)

Skills used include magic ring, chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, single crochet two together (sc2tog), back loops only (blo), changing colors, whipstitch, and simple embroidery.

I used less than one skein each of in Knit Picks Brava Worsted in Sienna, Brindle, Almond, Red, Alfalfa, and Peapod, as well as a scrap of black yarn for the choker.
.
Also needed:
-1 removable stitch marker OR safety pin for marking start of round
-yarn needle
-6mm safety eyes
-small amounts of poly stuffing

Gauge is not crucial to this project. You’ll just want to be sure that your stitches are tight enough that the stuffing won’t show through.

Finished doll is about 3.5 inches tall.
