A cozy project for refining skills with waistcoat stitches.

Worked in continuous rounds. Only loose ends need to be weaved in.

US terms are used. Includes lots of helpful photos.
Difficulty. Intermediate

Hook size. 5mm (H/8) or what hook meets the gauge.
Yarn. Fingering. 210m/50gr (230y/1.76 oz) or slightly lighter.
Yarn usage. One yarn ball for a pair of mittens.

Measurements
Approximate cuff width and mitten length, when the mitten is laying relaxed and flat on a table:
Child 6-8y: 7cm, 14.5cm (2.75”, 5.7”)
Woman S/M: 9.5cm, 16cm (3.7”, 6.3”)

The stitch pattern is stretchy and should be small enough to stretch a little for a nicer fit.
