This pattern is intended for use with an orthopedic boot or fiberglass cast to keep the patient’s toes warm during their recovery. The half sock measures about 5 inches in length with a ribbed edge to keep the sock from sliding down.

This pattern was written for an adult woman’s medium shoe size but could be easily adapted to fit any size.

Yarn: Premier Yarns Wool Free Sock yarn but has since been discontinued. Any Light Fingering yarn will work perfectly. About 25 grams (117.5 yards | 107.4 meters) for one half sock.

Needles: US size 1 (2.25 mm) DPNS

Notions: Stitch Markers and some well wishes for your hurt friend.
