I dreamt this shawl up in the fall, when my thoughts were going from enjoying the vibrancy of the late summer harvests to thinking of falling leaves and stillness. I love fall and the way that it eases into our consciousness with subtle changes, like the smell of early morning air or that first leaf that falls on your shoulder. The colors fade with the daylight as we ease into the new season with our thoughts turn inward as we reflect on the year that is quickly coming to a close. Everything fades and slumbers…until spring comes again.

Recommended Yarn
Sock Obsessions Yarn Sock weight yarn in three coordinating colors or 1200-1300 yards of similar fingering weight yarn. Solids, semi solids, tonal and variegated yarns will all work with this design! The colors used in the sample are Pumpkin in Denim, the blue that starts at the top straight edge, Sky Over Pumpkin, the yummy variegated yarn in the center, and Pumpkin in Pumpkin, that amazing orange that terminates at the tip. You will have enough yarn left to make a tassel or two if that’s your thing.
