I have never designed a sweater before, so this is my first attempt – I am very proud of it! The main idea behind the design is that I wanted something simple enough I could wear it at home, but smart enough to wear to class. This ticks both of those boxes, and using a yarn with high wool content makes beautifully warm. I call this my halo sweater because the contrasting stripes look like little halos of light against a dark sky.

This is a very basic sweater pattern, using simple techniques to create a slightly shaped body. The raglan design will fit most people quite well, but feel free to omit the body shaping if you want.
