Halva is knitted seamless top down and has a circular yoke. The neckline ribbing is knitted first. The stranded yoke is mainly knitted in two colors, with a few rows in three colors. Short rows below the yoke make the neckline slightly deeper at the front. There is an optional waist shaping for a better fit.

Needles: US 6 (4mm ) and US 4 (3.5 mm) long and short circular needles. I like to use a needle system with interchangeable needle tips.

Gauge: 17 sts x 24 rounds = 4x4 inches / 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch in rounds with needle US 6 (4 mm) after washing and blocking. It is recommended to swatch in rounds, working the pattern with two colors.

The size for the sweater should be chosen so that the finished chest circumference is 5-10 cm / 2-4 inches wider than the actual measured chest circumference. The cover model wears a size 4. The sweater has a positive ease of 5 cm / 2“ on him. Before beginning Halva measure around the bust (or the widest part of the upper body) to determine which size to knit.

Halva wird von oben nach unten nahtlos in Runden gestrickt. Zuerst wird das Bündchen am Ausschnitt gestrickt. Die Passe wird überwiegend mit zwei Farben gestrickt, wenige Runden sind dreifarbig.
Durch verkürzte Reihen unterhalb der Passe wird der Ausschnitt im vorderen Bereich etwas tiefer. Die Größe für den Pullover sollte so gewählt werden, dass der fertige Brustumfang 5-10 cm (positiv Ease) weiter ist, als der tatsächlich gemessene Brustumfang.

Empfohlene Nadeln: Rundstricknadel 4 mm (80 und/oder 100 cm und 40 cm bzw, ein Nadelspiel für die Ärmel, außer es wird mit der Magic Loop-Methode gestrickt), Rundstricknadel 3.5 mm (40 cm und 80cm). Ich benutze gerne ein Nadelsystem mit wechselnden Spitzen.

Maschenprobe: 17 Maschen x 24 Runden = 10 cm x 10 cm glatt rechts in Runden mit 4 mm Nadel, nach dem Waschen und Blocken. Es wird empfohlen eine Maschenprobe mit Muster in Runden zu stricken.

Die Größe für den Pullover sollte so gewählt werden, dass der fertige Brustumfang 5-10 cm weiter ist, als der tatsächlich gemessene Brustumfang. Das Beispiel vorne zeigt eine Größe 4 mit einer positiven Ease (Zugabe) von 5 cm.
