It’s Mystery Knit Along Time with the Periscoping Sisters!
Once again our sister Wendy was the inspiration for this design. She spread joy wherever she went so we hope knitting this pattern will inspire you to Hand Out A Hug!

This time we are knitting DK colorwork mittens. Don’t be intimidated if you’ve never worked with two colors, join in on the fun! This is a straightforward and fun pattern worked mostly from a chart, with written instructions for construction of the mittens.

Materials:
Two skeins of DK weight yarn in highly contrasting colors. One 50g ball of each color
Two sets of US 4 (3.5mm) dpns or long circulars for magic loop
One set of US 3 (3.25mm) dons or long circulars for magic loop (or one size smaller than your main needle)
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends and embroidery

Sizing:
These mittens will fit a women’s medium or 7.5” to 8” palm circumference. Other sizes can be made by adjusting your gauge. For a larger hand, try going up a needle size with worsted weight yarn, or for a smaller hand, go down a needle size with sport weight yarn. Take the time to swatch!

Skills:
Knitting and purling in the round, stranded colorwork, “catching” long floats, increasing (left and right lifted increases), grafting or Kitchener stitch, and embroidery (top stitching).

KAL Info:
Three clues will be released over 3 weeks, starting on Monday October 1st. You will have a new pair of mittens for Halloween!
