Hank is a very busy little shark who can swim as fast as 25 miles per hour. He’s an excellent hunter, which is why he’s so happy! He is 11.5 inches long (when made with the recommended materials).

The 7 page pattern is intermediate skill level and is available in US and UK terminology – both versions will be available for you to download. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change and back loop only.

The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern:
US Terminology - magic ring, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), colour change, back loop only, slip stitch
UK Terminology - magic ring, double crochet, half treble, treble, increase, decrease (dc2tog), colour change, back loop only, slip stitch

  • Yarn: I have made Hank using Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran (Aran/worsted weight yarn) - colour and weight details in pattern
  • Hook: 3.5mm (E) crochet hook
  • Stuffing: I use polyester filling
  • Safety eyes: I have used 12mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
