HAPPY EASTER HATS is a stranded pattern with instructions for several sizes: toddler, child, teen, and adult. The hats comprise all the colors of the Easter season, but you can change up the colors to your liking. Because you don’t use an entire skein of any one color, this is a perfect pattern for using up left-over balls of sock yarn. You can play with the sizing easily, too. Want a slouchier hat? Add more rounds before and after the “Happy Easter” rounds. Add more ribbing rounds or even add an entire block of the egg motif rounds. You can opt to knit a 2x2 rib or a 1x1 rib, as shown above. You can tweak the fit by moving needle sizes up or down. And, because you knit your hat with fingering sock yarn, it is machine washable.
Spring is right around the corner, and the Easter Bunny says, “Get hopping!!”
