A very simple and beginner friendly baby/toddler poncho in tunisian crochet.
It’ll only take a few hours to make.
I made the pattern for my friends 18 month old daughter, and it will fit a child between 12 and 24 months, but can easily be further adjusted.
A chart is included for calculating bigger sizes.

It’s a soft and loose poncho, very pleasent to wear for the child.
The hood has a ‘gnome shape’ and a pompom or a tassel can be added for more effect…

The pattern can be made using one skein, combined with different colors scrap yarn. It contains various sketches for making the decoration of the fabric, and you’re able to increase the difficulty by changing the decoration.
The poncho consists of a body part and a hood part, all made in simple stitch and sewn together.

Depending on the yarn chosen, you’ll need a tunisian crochet hook of 7 or 8 mm and a normal crochet hook +/- 4mm, for making the edges.
