This triangular shawl consists of garter stitch stripes alternated with a simple mesh lace. It is knit side to side, and then stitches are picked up along one edge to complete the pattern. Suitable for advanced beginner knitters.

Approximate size: 50 - 52” wide by 22 - 24” deep at the center.

Yarn: C1 should be a solid or semi-solid; C2 can be a variegated or self striping yarn.

Fingering or sock weight version: about 60” by 24” -- approximately 620 – 700 yds total. You will need about twice as much of C1 as of C2, or about 420-470 yds. of C1 and 200-225 yds. of C2.
Suggested yarns: Wandering Wool Udaipur Fingering in Rainbow or Wandering Wool North Country sock for C2. Any solid or semi-solid fingering weight yarn that is a good contrast.
Sport weight version: about 68” by 32” – approximately 700 – 750 yds total, at least twice as much of C1 as of C2, or about 210-225 yds of C2 and 475-500 yds of C1.
Suggested yarns: Freia Ombre sport for C2, Tosh DK or Tosh sport for C1.
