My Happyday sweater is exactly that; a colorful sweater meant for fun and play and happy days:) There are SO many possible color-combinations: in bold colors like the sample, in pinks, blue ocean shades, shades of earthy tones, rusty oranges, smokey greys….
It’s up to you to decide (for the contrasting colors you do not need so much, maybe you have just the right colors in your stash)?

Construction Bottom-up and seamless (you might graft the underarm sts, or seam them).
Lower body and sleeves are worked bottom up to underarms where pieces are joined and continued in-the-round. For a great fit the upper body is shaped with raglan-decreases,
The stranded patterns are worked in the round and from RS only.
The upper neck is shaped to create a lower neckline of the front. The neck edge is worked in stockinette, but could easily be changed to a ribbed collar.

Sizes There are 7 sizes to choose from: 6 – 12 months: chest measurement 50cm/19.5” 12 – 18 months: 55cm/21.5” 2 – 3 years: 60cm/23.5” 4 – 5 years: 65cm/25.5” 6 years: 70cm/27.5” 8 years: 75cm/29.5” 9 – 10 years: 80cm/31.5”

Materials
Yarn: I used ”Felted Tweed” from Rowan to work the pullover. This Sport weight yarn comes in balls of 50g/1.76oz and 175m/191 yards. You will need the following amount to work the garment: MC (turqouis): 2/2/3/3/4/4/5 balls,1 ball of each of the following contrasting colors: CC1: purple, CC2: pink, CC3: lime. Needles: Choose needle size to obtain gauge. I used needle size 3.5mm/US4, this is a suggestion only. You need 1 circular needle, 60-80cm/24-32” long for the lower and upper body. You need a set of dpns for the sleeves as well as the upper part of the body. Notions: 4 removable stitch-markers, separate holders (for holding the sleeve sts). Blocking tools.

Gauge 24 sts in stockinette sts using 1 single strand or in stranded pattern = 10cm/4”
