The Harbor Hoodie is a nautical inspired design with classic navy, taupe and ivory colors and an attractive variegating stripe pattern. This sweater features an afterthought kangaroo pocket, generous hood, thumb-hole sleeves, and plenty of style and class! It is a “classic fit” sweater but is a little bit over-sized for roominess and comfort.

I made another one in yellow and gray and call it the “Sunshower” hoodie. The pictures are included on this pattern page so you can see what it looks like in an alternate color combination in case “nautical” is not your “thing”.

This was made on a Brother KH-260 Chunky (9mm) machine (with a ribber), although it could be made on other types of chunky 9mm machines as well, with or without a ribber.

The sweater is constructed in 6 pieces; front, back, two sleeves, hood and pocket.

This has a “classic fit” cut, which means that although it does have some ease, it is not oversized by any means. I wear a Ladies Large size normally, and this fits me with a little extra roominess. My mannequin has a bust that is WELL over 38” and it fits on her too. She is 6 feet tall, so the pictures should give some indication of how much “play” there is in the sweater sizing. The sweater is a little bit longer on me than it is on her, because I am only 5’5” tall.

The pocket is optional. This sweater would be fabulous without it as well.

This pattern has not been tested by anyone but me (yet), so please, if you knit it and find mistakes, let me know so I can fix the pattern for future knitters.
