The Harvest Sky sweater was inspired by the feel of autumn in the New England countryside, with golden hues of foliage and lush greenery against the backdrop of a misty blue sky adorned with a flock of migrating birds.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the bottom up, with only the underarms to be stitched up (or grafted) at the end. Stranded colorwork sections are broken up by plain stockinette sections, so you get a little variety of “focus” knitting time and “relaxing” knitting time. The body is worked straight without shaping, but the section of stockinette between the colorwork section and the join at the underarm is perfect for adding some bust shaping if desired (not included in the instructions).
