The inspiration for the pattern came out of love for Northern coniferous forests in Finland. Havune socks are worked from cuff down using fingering weight yarn. The leg and toe part have a variation of rib stitch techniques that come out as a pine tree pattern. The socks are light, soft and perfect to keep your feet warm while wondering in the woods or just chilling at home on Winter days.

Size:
There are two sizes in the pattern.
Size 1 for foot circumfrence Ø 20 cm / 7.87”
Size (2) for foot circumfrence Ø 22,5 cm / 8.85”

Yarn:
Approx. 250 to 300 m / 273 to 328 yrds of ITOBITO sock (85% SW meringo wool, 15% nylon; 400 meters / 437 yards per 100 g) or any other fingering weight sock yarn

Gauge:
10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” = 32 sts x 42 rows in Stockinette Stitch in a round after blocking

Needles:
2,50 mm / US 1.5 DPNs (double pointed needles)

Havune-sukat ovat neulottu varresta varpaisiin fingering-vahvuisella langalla, jossa sukkien varsi- sekä kärkiosuutta koristaa havupuita muistuttavat resorikuviot. Sukat ovat ohuet, pehmeät ja lämpimät pidettävät ulkoillessa tai vaikka kotona ollessa pakkaspäivinä.
