Hazelnut Scarf
The Hazelnut scarf is a small cabled scarf with decorative texture stitches, that resemble hazelnuts. It was designed to used less than 100g and is worked in worsted weight yarn.
Materials:
• 4mm / US size 6 needles or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• Cable needles (2).
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.
• Worsted weight yarn, approximately 160m / 175yds. The sample is shown in Malabrigo Rios - 100% merino wool, 192m / 210yds per 100g, and is shown in colourway Solis.
Size:
One size. The scarf measures 12cm / 5” by 109cm / 43”. The length of the scarf is easily adjusted but will alter yardage requirements.
Gauge:
24 stitches and 30 rows = 10cm / 4” in cable pattern, worked flat and blocked. Working to gauge is not vital for this pattern, but a change in gauge will alter yardage requirements.
