Healing Fairies

These very, cute fairies are one of my quickest and simplest dolls to make. They were made for a knitting-friend who is bravely going through chemotherapy. I hope they bring love, hope and healing.
My Healing Fairies are knit almost entirely in the round from skirt hem to hat top, with arms that are knit in one-piece and slide into position through the arm holes, a wooden bead head that stays in place with a pipe cleaner, yarn hair added with a tapestry needle and wings that are knit in one-piece and stitched into place.
To make a knit peg doll, you’ll need:
- One 12mm wooden bead for the head
- One pipe cleaner for the body
- Scrap yarn
- A set of dpns
- One free evening
A big THANKS to my wonderful test knitters. Your dolls are gorgeous!
