This is a PDF knitting pattern that teaches you how to knit a simple dog sweater with a heart on the back.

This pattern is pretty easy. You need to know how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and sew your pieces together. You also need to know how to read a knitting chart, because the heart itself is in chart form.

You’ll need two colors of worsted weight yarn, size 8 or 9 US knitting needles, and measuring tape.

I give instructions on how to measure your dog and directions to knit the four sizes of dog sweaters I offer in my shop:

XS - Chest 9-12”
S - Chest 11-14”
M - Chest 13-16”
L - Chest 16-19”
