I created this hat pattern to go with my “Heart Scarf”. Information on the scarf can be found here:

This hat pattern includes two versions - beanie and slouchy. The beanie may be completed with only one ball of yarn. Two balls are required for the slouchy version, though you’ll have quite a bit of yarn left over. I designed it for teens or adults, but as you can see, the beanie version fit my 7-year-old nephew and 11-year-old niece just fine. Even my brother-in-law didn’t mind modeling it. The hat is fairly stretchy.

The lace stitch features rows of little hearts. These make wonderful gifts for your loved ones.

Sample hats in the photos were made with color “Strawberry Fields” (beanie) and “Regatta” (slouchy). I’ve found great color variation in the Amazing yarn, so you never quite know what colors will be included from one ball to the next - even when you buy the same colorway and dye lot.

Frequently I find what I consider to be flaws in the Amazing yarn - short sections of unrelated colors. I always remove these, but it may not bother others. I do love the colors, and the yarn is very soft. It’s an excellent value for your money.
