With a rhythm like the beating of the heart and my steps on the soft path through the woods, I am knitting my hat with all the firs of the forest and the heart hidden among the trees. I am guarding my heart, for everything I do flows from it.

Needle size to obtain gauge, for me this is 3.25 mm but it can be somewhere in between 2.5 - 3.5 mm. Also an additional needle 0.5 mm smaller than gauge needle for the ribbing. I use 2.5 mm for the ribbing.
