Heartbreak Hat
Heartbreak Hat is a timeless elegant non-chunky beanie with balanced proportions, developed with attention to the golden ratio.
This knitting pattern guides clearly through every stage from cast-on to crown shaping. The instructions are written step by step and include video links demonstrating the key techniques.
This classic ribbed hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up, starting with a 2x2 ribbed brim, then you move to a 1x1 ribbed body and crown.
The hat is reversible. Decreasing lines look different on the right and wrong sides. There are clear photos of decrease lines in the pattern, so you can choose what you prefer more
For the hat, 2 strands of yarn are held together while knitting: fingering wool yarn and lace mohair yarn.
