Put some passion in your purling! The Hearts Afire Hat proclaims your love of knitting and all things fun by combining the classic fitted beanie with a barely-there slouch and adding colorful twisted braids that form a lovely heart motif.

You will need four colors for this hat – a main color for the hat body and three contrasting colors for the twisted braid heart motif and brim border. The Hearts Afire Hat is great for using up those mini-skeins you have been collecting and leftovers from other projects! The pattern includes a full-page sized “Choose Your Own Colors” chart that you can fill in to create unique color combinations that cool and complimentary or stunningly contrasting! You can re-use this blank chart to create new combinations over and over again.

Twisted Braid:
If you can knit and purl, you can create a twisted braid! Step-by-step instructions for creating the twisted braid are included in the pattern, as well as chart to help you choose your own color palate.
