Hearty Warmth Hat
I created this eyelet heart for my very first pattern (Bottom of My Heart Shawl) and also published the free (single heart) chart as a washcloth pattern. Eventually, I got the idea that I should make a cowl and hat with the chart and here we are! Happy knitting!
Yarn: I used Manos Del Uruguay: Serpentina, colorway Malala, but any Aran or Bulky weight will do.
Gauge: 16sts/4in(10cm) in stockinette on larger needles
Needles/Notions: 16in (41cm) size US6&7(4mm & 4.5mm)
(or size to get gauge)
1 set of DPNs to match larger size,
darning needle for weaving ends
Approximate finished measurements:
20in(50cm) circumference, 9in(22cm) height.
