Heatwave is a tiny little scarf. Use it over a shirt, under a jacket, with a plain t-shirt, around your head or in your ponytail – or tie it to your bag.

The wavy construction makes it very easy to style. Pull one end through as I did on the photo, or simply tie it. This is a very easy way to add a whimsical, feminine touch to any outfit, or just a splash of color.

Finished measurements

Yarn alternative: Suri Silk Fluff Lace, colorway Ashes to Ashes, from By Kiilerich: https://bykiilerich.com/

Suggested needles
4 mm (size 6 US) circular or straight, for ribbing
8 mm (size 11 US) circular or straight

Gauge
14 stitches x 16 rows in stockinette stitch on larger needle = 10x10 cm (4x4 inches)

Note: Needle size is just a suggestion. Adjust needle size if needed to obtain gauge. Gauge is not terribly important in a scarf though – so you could also just look at the fabric you’re creating and decide if you like it! Heatwave is designed to be knit at a very open gauge. If you prefer a tighter fabric, you will probably have to adjust your stitch count for the parts worked on the larger needles.
