NOTE
Heide - Erica in German - is a sleeveless V-neck top worked from the top down. It starts from the right back shoulder and is knit with the lace pattern down to the depth of the V-neck. Next, the left back shoulder is worked in the same way as the right back shoulder. The borders of both pieces are overlapped to be joined at the center, then the back is worked with the lace pattern down to the underarm. For the left front, stitches are picked up from the left back shoulder and knit with the lace pattern down to the depth of the V-neck deeper than that of the back. Next, the right front shoulder is worked in the same manner. The two front pieces are joined, then knit with the lace pattern down to the underarm.
The front and back are joined by knitting a braid, then the back is worked longer using German short rows. Then increases are worked at the sides and the lower body is worked down to hem in the round.
I hope you will enjoy the slightly three-dimensional silhouette created with the generous fabric after the braid section.

About Sizes and Preparation Before Knitting
Because the Heide Top is offered in an irregular size range, the sizes are labeled i (ii, iii, iv, v, vi) and not with classic 1 (2, 3, 4, 5). As this notation may look unfamiliar, we recommend marking the instructions for your size before starting if necessary. Below the lace section, the top has a relaxed silhouette. If you wish to wear it with the shoulder lace slightly falling off the shoulders, choose your size referring to H on the next page.
