Heidrun fingerless mitts are a great stashbuster. They feature an Estonian motif called goat’s eye.

The pattern calls for sport weight yarn in the following quantities:

90 m/98 yards in main colour (eggshell)
18 m/19 yards in contrast colour 1 (purple)
18 m/19 yards in contrast colour 2 (blue)
18 m/19 yards in contrast colour 3 (green)
18 m/19 yards in contrast colour 4 (yellow)
18 m/19 yards in contrast colour 5 (orange)
18 m/19 yards in contrast colour 6 (red)

(or 108 m in a single contrast colour)

The sample mitts were knitted in Rauma Finull, a woollen-spun yarn with 175 m/50 g.
