Heirloom Jumper
The Heirloom Jumper is inspired by the silhouette and style of the early Edwardian era.
It is knit top town with a twisted rib turtleneck that closes at the back with buttons. It’s worked with a brand new shoulder and sleeve shaping that creates straight seams along the shoulder and down the sleeve, mimicking the set-in sleeves of earlier periods while still using the modern way of knitting the sleeves along with the yoke.
The pattern includes instructions for how to adjust and “tailor” the shoulder seam to fit individual shoulder width, as one can have narrow or wide shoulders regardless of our other measurements.
The front is decorated with an elegant, intuitive lace panel. The cuffs, neckline and hem are all done in twisted rib, and you also get to choose between two types of puff shoulders.
It is knit in two strands held together, one fingering weight and one mohair silk. This gives it both structure and drape, and the loveliest fuzzy halo. It’s feminine and elegant, but also warm and cozy.

NOTE ON AVAILABLE SIZES - if you want to knit this, or any of my patterns, in a larger size than I currently have published, please get in touch! The only reason it is not available in larger sizes is I couldn’t get testknitters for those sizes, and I don’t want anyone to pay for a pattern and knit a size thats not been tested. So if you would like to (test)knit this - or any of my patterns! - in a larger size than is currently available, drop me a message and I’ll send you the pattern for free!
