PATTERN OVERVIEW
The slipover is knitted from the top down with a European shoulder construction. The piece is worked in a version of broken rib in which two stitches are knitted in stockinette stitch and one stitch is purled every third row.
First, the neck stitches are cast on, and increases are made for the shoulders. The back is then knitted back and forth, and increases are made for the armholes. Stitches for the left and right front shoulders are picked up, and increases are made for the neck. Stitches are cast on at the bottom of the neckline, and the front is knitted back and forth down to the armhole. Below the armhole, the body is knitted in the round, ending with a 1x1 rib at the bottom. Stitches are picked up for additional 1x1 ribbing around the neck and armhole. All 1x1 rib is bound off using Italian bind off.
