Helvie’s Hat
Helvie is my dear friend’s mother. She has been fighting a tough battle with cancer for sometime. She is strong and resiliant. When she decided to undergo another round of chemo, she was worried about losing her hair and her head being cold. Where would she find warm hats? Well, Helvie, we have the most generous knitting group and we asked them to knit you nice, soft, warm hats. Please enjoy the wonderful hats everyone has made for you☺ Take care. Materials
One skein of Nako, Artist. (165 yards), or any chunky weight yarn.
Size 10 circular needles in a 16” length.
Size 9 double pointed needles.
Stitch marker. Yarn needle.
The hat pattern is written for two sizes, adult medium and large.
9” deep x 21” and 22” in circumference, as worn. Gauge is 4 sts./in.
