When I met my husband he owned a 2CV called Henrietta, and it is this car I have based my design on. You can read a bit more about this on my blog at http://ginxcraft.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/henrietta-2cv.html

I have tried to be faithful to the original Henrietta. The main body of the car is knitted in just three sections, and the pattern contains colour charts for the side panels. Then there are wheels and wheel arches to sew on, as well as the headlamps, bumpers and numberplates. So there is a bit of sewing up, but you will end up with a realistic 2CV car.

The car is knitted in 4ply (I used a mixture of Patons Diploma 4ply and MillaMia Merino for my sample cars), and you will need two sizes of needles 3.25mm for the main sections, and 2.25mm doublepoints for some of the smaller parts.
