A great big thanks to my yarn sponsor The Weaver’s Loft and to my wonderful model.

The Henrietta Maria Cardigan is a light weight cropped cardigan with all over brocade patterning and embroidered flowers. It also has a unique double knit button band for a polished look. With a close fit and vintage silhouette, you’ll look glam from the office to an afternoon wedding.

This pattern comes in 2 files, one for XS(S, M, L) and one for 1x(2x, 3x, 4x)5x. I did this make the pattern easier to read and follow and to save ink and paper. This translates to finished bust measurements of 29(33, 37, 41)“ and 45(49, 53, 57)61” This cardigan is made to fit close with 0 to negative ease so if you are between sizes I would choose the smaller size to get a similar fit to the photo.

Skein Numbers
1(2, 2, 2) and 2(3, 3, 3)4 skeins of Gaia Worsted.
This yarn is listed as a worsted weight yarn but it is emphatically NOT. It is a sport weight yarn and knits up nicely at the specified gauge. If substituting yarn, get a sport weight.
Lanaloft Sports Weight was used for the contrast color embroidery.

You will also need 2 stitch holders and 14-17 ivory glass pearl buttons.

This pattern comes with a chart, and written instructions for the chart as well as links to tutorials for the Lazy Daisy embroidered flowers and the double-knit button band that were made just for this pattern.
