Hex Sweater

by Rachael Sydney / Burrow Crafts

The Hex Sweater is a cozy, relaxed-fit knit featuring a clean, modern silhouette with thoughtful shaping details. Designed with comfort and wearability in mind, this sweater combines a soft drape with subtle structure, making it an everyday wardrobe staple you’ll reach for again and again.

The sweater is worked top-down, beginning with a shaped back yoke using German short rows for an improved fit across the shoulders. The front yoke is worked flat with gentle neckline increases before the shoulders are joined and the body is worked in the round. Sleeves are picked up and knit in the round, with optional decreases for a softly tapered arm.

With its straightforward stockinette fabric, the Hex Sweater allows the yarn to shine, making it perfect for solid colours, heathers, or softly textured fibres. Clear instructions and consistent shaping make this an approachable project for confident beginners ready to knit their first sweater, while still enjoyable for more experienced knitters.
