This pattern combines two techniques: stranded and modular. The resulting hat is seamless (everything is knit-on) because all elements are worked in-the round. I wouldn’t call it difficult, but you need to be familiar with stranded knitting .

The hat is available in two sizes, 5- or 6-hex around the bottom. The finished size heavily depends on gauge. I strongly suggest making one hexagon to know exactly which size you need to knit.

As some knitters commented, most will need 3mm needles to get the gauge, not 2.5mm as in the pattern.
