This scarf pattern combines several lace stitches to produce a beautifully soft feminine look. The use of a pastel color wool and silk blend yarn contribute to the final finish of a little shine.
After working with lace weight yarn on several projects, sometimes a girl just needs a little instant gratification. A smaller sized project, larger needles, chunkier yarn… Viola! Instant gratification…..well almost!
The scarf does work up fast, the stitches are not complicated. The pattern repeat is marked to make widening for shawl size easy, just be sure to add the appropriate number of extra stitches to the cast on amount. Fun project to add that perfect final touch to your outfit.
If you want the lace stitches to really show off use a wool or wool blend yarn and block before wearing.
The pattern is in both written and charted instructions. Materials needed for this project are 370 yds. dk weight yarn, #7 Needles, stitch markers….and, Oh yes, don’t forget the pattern.
