High Altitude is a two-colour sister pattern to my Altitude shawl. For the shawl’s body, you start with a provisional cast-on, then you knit on the bias, shaping the shawl with simultaneous decreases and increases at a different rate to reduce the number of stitches. The selvage stitches are worked in a unique way to make a nice uniform edge. The finishing touch is made by knitting on a mesh border with a picot bind-off edge.
