This exquisitely timeless and classic hat is knitted in the round and on 16-inch circular needles. It features beads (optional), a turned brim, and lots of beautiful (beaded) cables. While one size is listed, cast on amounts/other sizes are listed, as well, in the “Notes” section of the PDF. Gauge for brim: 6 stitches per inch. Gauge for crown: 7 stitches per inch.
Materials
• 1+ skeins of Yarnitoli DK yarn (231 yards each) For the women’s and women’s large please allow for 250 yards. Doing stripes or a contrasting yarn, for the under part of the brim, is a great way to accommodate the extra yardage.
• Size US6 16-inch circular needles
• Size US6 DPN’s for bind off (magic loop is also fine)
• Cable needle
• Darning needle
• Up to 320 size 6 (or size 7!) glass beads
• Stranding needle
If you love fingering, you can easily hold two strands of fingering, together, for this one! The featured red sparkle hat was done this way. Have so much fun with this one because I sure have!
