Pay What Works: In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. The price shown on Ravelry is the “true” value of the pattern that best reflects the work put into creating this design.

The Hill Country Cowl was created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Hill Country Weavers, a local yarn shop in Austin, TX. The colorwork motif represents the journey, obstacles and triumphs this well- known and renewed LYS has sure to have faced over the years. May many more successful years follow!

CONSTRUCTION
The construction of this cowl consists of two main sections. The first section is a top-down triangular shawl featuring lateral braid stripes, worked until the right number of stitches is reached, then joined in the round for the second section where the colorwork motif is knit. The cowl will still be increasing in stitch count for this second section but only at the triangular tip at the front.
