Inspired by the 1980s fanny pack, the Hip Pocket gives you a small pocket to tuck away your phone, keys, and other items without having to carry around a bag or purse. Designed to be held in place by magnetic snaps that hold together through the fabric of pants. Been tested with leggings and related fabric, but not through jean fabric. The pocket is 7in wide and 5in tall.

Materials:

Yarn Bee Soft Secret, Blue Teal, 6oz, 300yds,
Size 7 Needles
Magnetic Snaps, 2 pieces, 3/4in/18mm
Zipper 7in/18cm
Embroidery Thread
Tapestry needle
Sewing needle
Safety pins
Scrap pieces of jeans

Notes: A full skein isn’t needed as it only takes about half a skein. Can substitute any yarn you wish as long as the gauge matches so a 7in zipper works.
