Based on a sock monkey theme, this young child’s chair seems complicated but is made by several pieces seamed together to form its shape before placed over the top of foam pieces. With two zippers at its bottom, it is easily taken off and washable.

The pattern contains knit directions for each piece, directions for its construction, and many photos to aid in construction.

Foam:(See Notes
Seat – 11in long and 11in wide – 6in foam
Arm – 10.5in high and 11in long – 4in foam
Back – 20in high and 19in wide – 4in foam
Box cutter or such to cut foam (optional)
Glue – 3m Super77 Multipurpose Adhesive

Foam Notes:
I would suggest looking into a local upholstery shop if possible and price check as ordering foam this way might be cheaper than from a craft store. Also you can pick a firm foam (#602) which will hold its shape better as well as holding a wiggling child better.
