There’s something lovely about a pair of hand-knit mittens: small enough to be a satisfying project, but practical enough that you’ll reach for them all winter.
Hip to be Square combines textured stitches with colourful geometric details, creating a playful pair of mittens that coordinate beautifully with the rest of the collection.
Worked from the cuff up, these mittens feature a western gusset and symmetrical top for a comfortable, classic shape. The colourwork uses small amounts of five contrasting fingering-weight yarns, making them perfect for mini skeins and leftovers.
The pattern is written for magic loop and includes instructions for using double-pointed needles if you prefer. Both written directions and charts are included.
Hip to be Square is also part of a coordinating collection with matching hat and cowl.
