Design your own shawl with this simple but effective “hipsumhaps” method. You choose the pattern and size – or let the yarn decide. A fun project to get your creativity working! ☺
Hipsum-haps is Icelandic meaning “without a plan / any which way”

This pattern is available for free when buying yarn at Uppspuni Mini Mill in Iceland: on fb: uppspuni / icelandyarn - minimill or http://uppspuni.is/en/
Material:
Dís by Uppspuni, (100gr = 400m)
100gr. should make a shawl of 180cm x 38cm
circular needles: 4,5mm, 80cm / US 7 , 32”

You can use any yarn, ideal for handspun small odds and ends off your spindle or wheel.
If you are using a different yarn (quantities and size vary) make sure to use bigger needles than recommended: you want a nice drape!

This is a very easy pattern or rather a method to make a crescent shaped shawl. You can make your own design choices along the way. You start at the top in the middle and knit as big a shawl as you like or as long as you have yarn. Combine finer and bigger yarn for a funky effect… once you have mastered the increases (usually after the first inches) - you can just let your creativity flow. Fun project and I am looking forward to seeing many different shawls here :)

Printing the pattern: both sides of one A4 sheet or US-letter: print first page, then put same paper back in printer for the other side, then fold paper in half.
